Most people approach healing completely backwards. (Itโ€™s not your fault!)

First, weโ€™ve been conditioned to believe that symptoms are the problem, and if we could just make them disappear, weโ€™d be healthy.ย 

This is like seeing a โ€œcheck engineโ€ light and smashing it with a hammer instead of looking under the hood.ย 

Sure, symptoms can be darn uncomfortable, but does a lack of symptoms mean youโ€™re healthy?

Just ask the over 60%ย of heart disease patients whose very first symptom was a fatal heart attack. Oh wait, you canโ€™t.

We donโ€™t need to suppress symptoms; we need to get curious and understand what theyโ€™re trying to tell us.

Second, the missing ingredient in most healing protocols?ย 

Trusting your body.ย 

Weโ€™ve been taught that healing comes from outside of usโ€”doctors, supplements, treatments.ย 

But your body already knows what to do.ย 

The moment you shift from fear and control to trust and curiosity, everything changes.

Innate Intelligence: Your Body Already Knows What to Do

Your body is not broken.ย 

It is constantly adapting, detoxing, and repairingโ€”whether you realize it or not.ย 

Think about a paper cut: does your body need a step-by-step manual to heal it?ย 

No. It justย does.ย 

Healing is your default setting.

And thank goodness for that! I mean, if I had to remember the number and order of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to send โ€“ along with histamine, cytokines, and healing factors Iโ€™m pretty sure Iโ€™d be dead from that paper cut!

How does this happen?

Weโ€™re literally programmed for healing from conception. (And even before, energetically!)

What is Innate Intelligence? Innate intelligence is your bodyโ€™s natural wisdomโ€”the built-in ability to heal, repair, and maintain balance without conscious effort.ย 

Itโ€™s the same force that tells a newborn baby how to breathe, directs the healing of a broken bone, and triggers immune responses when needed.ย 

This intelligence is always at work, adapting to environmental changes and stressors to keep you alive and functioning.

Part of Innate Intelligence that I (and my clients) work very closely with is the detox system.

Detoxification is your bodyโ€™s built-in housekeeping system.ย 

Itโ€™s always working to remove toxins, repair damaged cells, and restore balance.ย 

The problem is that most of us live in ways that block this process.ย 

When we clear the interference and provide what the body needs, healing happens naturally.

Your Body is Brilliant (Even If You Donโ€™t Feel Like It Right Now)

Itโ€™s easy to feel betrayed by your body when youโ€™re dealing with chronic symptoms.ย 

But symptoms arenโ€™t proof that your body is failingโ€”theyโ€™re messages.ย 

Symptoms are communication from your faithful body, using the only โ€œalphabetโ€ it knows, and protecting you in the meantime.

Common Symptoms and What They Mean:

  • Fever:ย The โ€œregularโ€ human body temperature is nice and cozy for many bugs. To defend itself and kill off bacteria and viruses, your body raises its temperature. Very clever! Think about it โ€“ the next time a guest overstays their welcome, simply change the thermostat in your home to make them uncomfortable and see how quickly they leave!
  • Vomiting:ย Natureโ€™s least subtle way of saying,ย โ€œNope, not today.โ€ย Itโ€™s your body’s emergency eject button for toxins and pathogens. Awful? Yes. Effective? Also, yes.
  • Diarrhea:ย The high-speed evacuation plan your gut initiates when it wants troublemakersย outโ€”immediately. Not glamorous, but it gets the job done.
  • Sneezing:ย A full-bodyย ka-boomย to blast out whatever unwelcome particles wandered into your nose. Bonus points if it surprises you mid-conversation.
  • Coughing:ย Like your lungs calling customer service to clear out mucus, dust, and random airborne nonsense. Expect a lot of “hold music” if you’re under the weather.
  • Runny Nose:ย Your bodyโ€™s way of power-washing out germs. Annoying, but better out than in, right?
  • Sweating:ย A detox process disguised as overheating. Whether itโ€™s a workout, a sauna, or just an awkward moment in a meetingโ€”your skin is handling business.
  • Fatigue:ย Your bodyโ€™s polite (or sometimes aggressive) way of saying,ย โ€œSit down. Be quiet. Let me fix this.โ€ย Listen to it.
  • Swelling/Injury Inflammation:ย Your immune systemโ€™s version of a construction crew rushing to the scene. Might look dramatic, but itโ€™s all part of the repair process.
  • Skin Rashes:ย The bodyโ€™s not-so-subtle way of detoxingโ€”or reacting to something irritating. A little inconvenient, but proof your system is paying attention.

I get it. โ€œI LOVE all those icky symptoms!โ€ said no one, ever.

But which would be worse: You get a case of food poisoning and vomit for several hours or, you get a case of food poisoning, and your body isnโ€™t able to expel the pathogens.

No vomiting, but now the bacteria can stay in your body and cause even more problems than a few hours of vomiting.

Chronic symptoms, on the other hand, mean that healing is being blocked.ย 

Imagine a light switch in your house: if the bulb isnโ€™t turning on, is the wiring broken?ย 

Maybe.ย 

But more often, something is interfering with the connection.ย 

Detox is aboutย removingย whatโ€™s blocking your bodyโ€™s natural healingโ€”not forcing it into submission with another quick fix.

When people first learn about detoxing for health, they often go into panic mode.ย 

They think they have to overhaul their entire life overnight or suffer the consequences.ย 

But healing doesnโ€™t work that way.ย

The frantic search for the โ€œone right protocolโ€ keeps you stuck in fear.ย 

But hereโ€™s the truth: there is no one perfect method.ย 

What your bodyย actuallyย needs is trust, patience, and consistency.ย 

The body heals in layers, over time.ย 

A lifetime of toxic buildup wonโ€™t disappear after one juice cleanseโ€”and thatโ€™s okay.

So, take a deep breath, let your nervous system relax, and remember that your body knows exactly what to do.

  • Start Small:ย You donโ€™t have to go fullย organic-guru-who-juices-kaleย overnight. Just swap out one processed food, add one detox habit, and let momentum do the rest.
  • Focus on the Basics:ย Before you buy a $50 detox tea, ask yourself:ย Have I had water today? Did I sleep like an actual human? Am I breathing, or just low-key panicking?ย Start there.
  • Tune Into Your Body:ย Symptoms arenโ€™t glitchesโ€”theyโ€™re messages. Instead of silencing them with a pill, get curious. (Yes, even about that weird rash.)
  • Celebrate Progress:ย Every little step counts, even if your โ€œclean eatingโ€ was just swapping chips for a slightly healthier snack. It all adds up, and your bodyย notices.
  • Ditch Perfectionism:ย No oneโ€™s handing out gold stars for the perfect detox. Just do what you can, keep moving forward, and letย good enoughย beย great.

Healing isnโ€™t about outsmarting your body with the latest bio hacksโ€”itโ€™s about workingย withย it.ย 

The more you slow down, listen, and trust the process, the easier it gets. Hereโ€™s how to support your body without stressing it out:

  • Ditch the quick fixes.ย Healing isnโ€™t a sprintโ€”itโ€™s aย relationshipย with your body. Nature doesnโ€™t rush, and neither should you.
  • Listen to your body.ย If something makes you feel awful, thatโ€™s not a test of willpowerโ€”itโ€™s feedback. Adjust, reassess, and workย withย your body, not against it.

Because it means you donโ€™t have to get it perfect.ย 

You donโ€™t have to overhaul your life overnight.ย 

You just have to take the next right step.

So, drop the panic.ย 

Stop trying to โ€œhackโ€ your way to perfect health.ย 

The best thing you can do for yourself isnโ€™t to control every little thingโ€”itโ€™s to start trusting the incredible intelligence thatโ€™s been keeping you alive all this time and make smart choices.ย
