(1) Without emotionally dumping too much on you all, I really REALLY needed this! I was in the Rapid Energy Reset before this course with Sinclair and Michael, and they presented this then, but I forgot about it and didn’t do it again after watching it because I was busy focusing on all the other stuff in the course. But watching it and doing it now, I am so beyond grateful for Robin for helping me to find Sinclair and Michael and their work and being reminded that whether you have a community/family/friends or not, you are more than empowered to give your sad, lonely and wounded self a big mama bear hug while you cry your aching heart out 💓 It’s the self soothing tool many of us didn’t learn in our formative years, but just as beneficial learning it all these years later (2) I feel this nervous system component is key. It’s what I feel sets Sinclair and Michael’s approach apart from others I’ve researched and even tried. I got into my health predicament during a very stressful time of my life. Before that, I had no health complaints and was at my ideal weight and had plenty of energy. What took me down was gradually falling into poor eating habits as a way to self soothe. I told myself it was temporary, but then I kept telling myself that day after day until it became chronic. It zapped my energy and the physical fitness soon tapered after that. And 10 years later, knowing exactly how I got here and that I needed to stop doing all the unhealthy things I to do in terms of diet and exercise, I just didn’t have the motivation, energy or self love and what little self love I did have to start with was getting beaten out of me by the self shame I had for not not being able to muster up the energy to do the work.
