Castor oil is a natural vegetable oil that is known to have a wide range of potential benefits. When combined with activated oxygen, it becomes enhanced with the antibacterial and antifungal properties of both castor oil and ozone.
Castor oil comes from the castor bean and can be applied directly to the skin.¬† It is often referred to as a “wonder oil” in the Netherlands It contains linoleic and oleic acid as well as small amounts of some other fatty acids. Ricinoleic acid has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties.
Castor oil is a very effective emollient and moisturizer. It is often used for improving skin elasticity and lightening stretch marks and age spots. It doesn’t dry out the skin – skin is left hydrated and refreshed. Many use it to prevent split ends and moisturize hair.
Castor oil is also known for fighting infection thanks to its antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties. Because activated oxygen (ozone) is also known for destroying bacteria and viruses, it is a perfect compliment to the oil.
